Shipping & Returns


All items come beautifully packaged in a gorgeous gift box for no extra charge. This will then be dispatched in a padded envelope or box for additional protection. The outer postal packaging is often re-used to help protect the environment but your order will be beautifully boxed inside.

Items are generally handmade to order so most items will be dispatched within 7 working days of the order being received. Custom designs, made to order pieces, or large pieces may take up to 2 weeks to ship. If you require an item sooner, please let us know in the field marked ‘special instructions’ on the checkout page and we will try to accommodate this.

Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on despatch to you of the products ordered, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it.

Delivery Times

Once we have handmade your item, it will then be shipped. Standard delivery should arrive in the UK within 5 working days from the shipping date, 7 working days to the rest of Europe, and 7-10 working days outside of Europe. Requesting the express option should expedite delivery. We are unable to guarantee delivery times or an exact delivery date due to possible delays.

The delivery times shown are supplied by Royal Mail. Shipping times listed reflect the time it takes for the package to travel from our door to your door. It is not possible to guarantee delivery times on any items. Selkie Crafts can take no responsibility for delays caused during shipping, once goods have left our premises.

Christmas Deliveries

Approaching the festive season delivery times will get longer due to the volume of mail in the postal system. Please order well in advance for Christmas; ideally 3-4 weeks before the last postal date. You can check the last postal dates for your country on the Royal Mail website.


All goods supplied to European Union Countries do not need a customs declaration. All international packages are marked appropriately and the goods are accurately described, with costs, on the Customs Declaration Form. Any customs or import duties are levied once the package reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you can contact your local customs office for further information.


The price you pay is the price displayed on this website at the time we receive your order apart from the following exception:

– While we try and ensure that all the prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.


Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused/unworn and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.
Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

Please ensure you contact us to arrange the return before shipping any items to us.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

  • Items with obvious signs of use
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at to arrange an exchange.


If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate/coupon code will be sent to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves, to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he/she will be notified about your return. We advise you to speak to them before arranging your return.


To return your product, you should contact us first to arrange the return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

You are required to ship items with the appropriate insurance/cover for the value of the item(s). For valuable items, you should consider using a track-able shipping service or purchasing additional shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. If a returning item is lost in transit to us you will not receive a refund. It will be your responsibility to make a claim to your shipping provided for the item(s) lost.
